Bruce Lee's Nunchucks Just Sold for $83,000... But Who is the Man Who Taught Bruce Lee His Skills?

The history of nunchucks is incredible. Let's go over the timeline... Going back as early as the 10th century, they start with humble beginnings as a harmless farming tool for harvesting rice and soybeans in Asia ... Over time, they evolve to be used in combat training, and practicing with them allows nunchakuka to develop quick hand movements and improve posture.

(Fun fact: "nunchakuka" is the Japanese term for someone who uses nunchucks). Moving on, it's the 1970s and nunchucks have EXPLODED. The sudden surge in popularity is all thanks to – you guessed it – legendary martial artist and movie star Bruce Lee.

But how popular?

Well, fast-forward to present day, and a pair of Bruce Lee nunchucks just sold for over 83 THOUSAND dollars at an auction in 2021:

But have you ever wondered how Bruce Lee got started himself? That honour belongs to American martial arts instructor Dan Inosanto.

In the 2012 documentary I Am Bruce Lee, Inosanto explained that he showed Lee the basics of using nunchucks when Lee was his student in the 1960s.

And the rest was history... Lee inspired the world with his energetic skill and razor-sharp speed, lighting up Hollywood movie screens in the 1970s.

So, special thanks to Master Inosanto!

The Rage Gear Training Nunchucks are pocket-sized foam nunchucks that are completely safe to use, portable, and lightweight.

(Perfect for beginners or for nunchakuka who want to try something different from traditional nunchucks.)

And with a full breakdown of techniques from basic to advanced in the Redefining Rage handbook, you can learn how to use them to develop your coordination, hand speed, wrist mobility, and... yes... jump rope skills.

This is badass! From farming tools to badass gear. He made nunchucks cool in the '70s, and they sold for 83 grand in 2021! Props to his mentor, Dan Inosanto, for teaching him. Now, we've got pocket-sized foam nunchucks and they're even mixing nunchucks with jump rope moves. Bruce Lee's legend lives on, and nunchucks are still evolving. Keep those sticks spinning! 🌀🥋
